From a Lean perspective, curious what would be the best way to focus specifically on the balance sheet in the service based industry? Example: As an auto collision shop owner, we have lower levels of cash tied up in inventory. We currently do pre-order some parts for incoming repairs, due to supply chain issues and have an inventory of paint/supplies. There of course will be cash tied up with parts/labor for the work in process jobs too, but seems dissimilar to manufacturing. SMED, also doesn’t seem applicable.

Leave that to us Industrial Engineers please. Next would you write an article on how to justify a robotic work cell please?
